2.2 ENERGY

Introduction

The amount of energy on earth is finite and the available energy must be shared with all other living beings. Depending on the place on earth, all known forms of energy supply have advantages and disadvantages. Have pupils think about their own energy use and whether it causes damage to nature or the environment. Alternatives are also studied.

Relevance

Why?

We are part of a global energy cycle that we share with all other living beings on earth, so we need to be able to obtain energy in a way that does not harm others’ right to harvest energy. 

How?

By learning about possibilities & limitations of different energy sources, we find site-specific solutions to meet our energy needs. 

What?
