4.3 PLANETARY & PERSONAL HEALTH

Introduction

The pupils observe and understand the basics of physical, mental and social health and learn about activities that support their well-being. With all the obstacles they encounter in doing so. The interdependence between personal and planetary health, ranging from the ecosystem they live in to where our food comes from, is also addressed.

Why?

Personal physical & mental health is a prerequisite for fulfilling one’s potential, living meaningful life & being beneficial to the world. 

How?

Learning the principles of both physical and mental health, their interdependencies, practising healthy behaviours. 

What?

By paying real and compassionate attention to your health, you can start changing your behaviour and emotional-mental processes towards optimum health.
